Robert Jukič

The third jazz CD of the Slovenian bass player and composer Robert Jukič, who as an instrumentalist and as composer religiously sticks to his artistic freedom, is a trip into his jazz creations that emerged between the year 2002 and 2007 and were recorded in 2007. The double CD is divided into two parts. To making the first part (“Jazz”) the author invited Slovenian sax player Jure Pukla, Austrian trumpet player Daniel Noesig, Serbian pianist Sava Miletić, and Croatian percussionist Janko Novoselić. As a guest appears also Slovenian percussionst, Tomaž Vovk. In the second part several Slovenian (Gašper Bertoncelj, Kaja Draksler, Lenart Krečič, Jan Kus, Dejan Lapanja, Erik Marenče, Igor Matković, Jani Moder, Cene Resnik) and foreign (Tonč Feinig (A), Adam Klemm (SRB), Janko Novselić (HR), Toine Thys (B)) instrumentalists join the author. In his compositions and arrangements the author flirts and faces with the fundamental values of jazz, improvised music and modern sound influences. The songs are inspired or dedicated to people, spaces, moments, and feelings. The shared denominator and the main driver of both parts is recorded on two discs and it is the energy all released through their music by all joined performers.
