Takrat se je krmar obrnil in jo pogledal. Odločno jo je gledal v oči. Čez nekaj časa je spet obrnil glavo stran.
Lena se je dvignila.
Šla je k njemu. Feliks je šel z njo, in to je bilo v redu.
Pred krmarjem sta se ustavila. Spet jo je pogledal v oči. Nič ni rekel, le nemo je sedel, naslonjen na jambor, noge v škornjih z lijakastim zavihkom na široko iztegnjene pred njim. Bela srajca z balonastimi rokavi je bila na prsih temna. In na sredini je bila raztrgana. Pa ne le srajca … Pogledal jo je.
Naenkrat je Lena vedela, kaj mora storiti.
To je bila najbolj preprosta stvar na svetu.

It does this quite unobtrusively and as passing by. The protagonist is this why presented on the basis of her relations with people who affect her growing up. There is no moralisation or specially exposing any of them.
