Spanish writer Jesus Carrasco was a host of Goga's Literary Residence in October. His staying was a part of a project Literary tranlations, which is part of an EU Project Creative Europe. Aim of the project is promotion of european literature over Europe borders.
Jesus Carrasco (1972, Badajoz) published his first novel, "Out in the Open", in 2013. It received very good critics and the spanish booksellers awarded the novel as the Book of Year. As of today they selled over 20 translation rights.
For his second novel, La tierra que pisamos, he received the European Union Prize for Literature in 2016.
Both novels were published in Slovenian language. They were translated by Urša Zabukovec.
