About the Book

The poetry collection Solitude is thematically unified by a sense of existential lostness in an increasingly impoverished and cold world. The collection is composed of four sections, each representing an independent emotional unit. The poet grapples with the meaning of existence, which is affirmed through art. He approaches love with maturity—the great mystery of every life—and death, the only unknown that poetry alone can contemplate, while poetically discerning truths about a world in which it will no longer be possible to live. Despite its existential themes, the collection is permeated by light and hope that radiate from every poem, for the poet believes in the word, in the power of poetry, and in storytelling. In this, he finds the meaning of his own life as well as of every life.
